Welcome to First Steps Day Care Centre an established Day Nursery situated just outside RAF
Honington, next to a vast sports field. First Steps is a spacious, bright and airy purpose built nursery. We are run
by a committe made up of service personnel and parents and are a registered charity. First Steps is also proud to hold the Suffolk
Quality Assurance Kite Mark. We welcome both the children of forces serving families, and children of residents
in the surrounding local area.
We are purpose built to accomodate children from 0 to 12years which is divided into 5
bright and stimulating playrooms, all of which have access to a spacious outdoor learning area. We are registered for 75 places
at any one time. Our centre boasts a large enclosed garden with a grass area and a soft ground incorporating a road way for
children to ride their bikes, scooters and cars.
We have 5 seperate childcare rooms.
Little Twinkles welcomes babies from birth to 18mths,
Rainbow is for 18mths
to 2yr olds,
Moonlight is for 2 - 3yr olds,
Sunbeam is for 3-5 yr olds.

We provide government funded sessions
from the term after your child turns 3 (more information in the Sunbeam Room section).
We are
open from 7:45am-6:00pm, offering a variety of session times throughout the day or full-day care.
We
are proud to be Ofsted registered and received a good on all accounts in June 2009 which can be viewed on the OFSTED
website.
